Rabbits are the third most likely animal to be released to a shelter. The Western PA Humane Society receives many rabbits searching for a forever “bunny proofed” palace.
Visit our Adoptable Animals page to see rabbits available for adoption.
Want to learn more about owning a rabbit? Visit our Rabbit Facts page.
Want to see our bunnies at play? Visit our Bunny Romps on Saturday from 2:30-4:30 pm. For the full schedule, see our Events page. If interested in volunteering, see our Volunteer page.
Do you have a solo bunny? Consider allowing him or her to have a rabbit companion. Rabbits are highly social pack animals. Most are happier and healthier with a friend with whom they can share timothy hay, litter box and afternoon snooze.
Schedule your rabbit for a “bunny blind date!”
For the best match – let your rabbit choose his or her own bunny buddy. During a date, your rabbit is introduced to three or four shelter rabbits, while staff and volunteers supervise. These sessions are highly structured to maximize the chances of love at first sight – which is unmistakable if you know what to look for!
